The little Seapro 3.8 HD with 20hp parsun engine is my ultimate spearfishing adventure boat

With launch wheels deployed the boat can be easily launched and retrieved off the beach to explore those hard to reach places.

The tubes are like none I have seen on a rib before! Extremely tough with reinforced wear patches as standard to put up with the abuse that comes with diving and spearfishing.

The deep v keel enables the Seapro to cover good ground in rough conditions as I discovered on a recent trip 6 miles offshore in France.  Heading into a 20 knot wind I was extremely impressed with how the little boat coped!

As for the parsun 20hp, myself with all my gear, weights and a cooler of fish in calm conditions I achieved a top speed of 18knots! Though she is  happiest cruising at around 12-16, she will also plane at really low speeds which is perfect for leaving my local estuary where the speed limit is 8 knots.  At any rate, you can cover some serious ground with this package.

On that note, I have to mention the economy, which is simply extraordinary.  The parsun 20hp engine is eye poppingly economical and I have just motored over 50miles and still not had to fill up the 24litre tank!

Electric start is a bit of a luxury, but most appreciated during a long days diving!
If you’re after a boat that is cheap to run and easy to chuck in to access those hard to reach spots, then the little seapro is a fantastic option.  I’m always planning my next adventure, check out what I’m up to on the little weapon on YouTube!
